We always enjoy getting involved with some personal projects at LOVA and when we were asked to add a modern top to a young bride's grandmother's dress, we jumped at the opportunity to help.  The idea of adding new memories to a wedding dress worn by both a grandmother and a mother, is a sweet idea for a second wedding dress ♥. We love it.

Ruby Red is our newest addition to our LOVA Ruffled scarves collection.

This week we had our first fitting with a Yue-Sai in her red LOVA dress - to be worn on the red carpet of the Shanghai Film Festival in June.

At LOVA WEDDINGS we visit our factory partners on a weekly basis to ensure quality and design of our gowns.  It’s always an adventure and many great things to see and do while spending a day with our suppliers.

 

We ensure quality of our dresses by hand selecting everything from fabrics, laces, beadings as far down as the selection of ribbons, petit coats, linings or how far apart buttons are spaced on the back of a dress.

 

Our selected factories are used to our high standards and work closely with us to make every dress special.

This week we celebrated the 30th birthday of one of our most valuable team members at LOVA WEDDINGS!  Ariel is the most hardest working person I've met in China and her dedication and loyalty to LOVA is seen every day in her work.  She's always one step ahead and always smiling while working under pressure.  We are lucky to have her on our team!  CONGRATULATIONS ARIEL.  We love you!!

Last weekend me and my fiance went to Hong Kong to buy our wedding bands. The trip was succesfull and now there are two little blue boxes waiting to be opened.

 

 

 

Things are busy these days at LOVA's showroom - we have lots of fittings for all the summer brides and it's always fun when our sweet brides bring their crew together with a bottle of bubbles to celebrate the first fitting of a custom made gown. As always with a new style or gown, we prefer to make the dress in less expensive fabric first and then sew it in silk after the final fitting is completed and the dress design has been perfected. As always we can't reveal more than this of a future bride's wedding dress...
